Hi everyone! I have accumulated a lot of airline miles and bonus points from a credit card. I have been collecting them for a long time, but I realized that I will most likely not use them for travel. I do not plan to buy tickets now, nor hotels. I heard that such points can expire if you do nothing with them. It is a pity to lose them, because it is also money, only in a different form. Tell me, what can I do? Is it possible to somehow exchange them or turn them into real money? Has anyone tried?

If you are definitely not going to travel, then the option of exchanging them for money does sound reasonable. But sometimes you can use them in other ways. For example, some airlines and banks allow you to pay for car rentals, hotels, or even gift cards with miles. This can be convenient if you don't want to deal with selling. On the other hand, exchanging miles for cash is often more profitable because you get real money that you can spend anywhere. Here it's a question of priorities: either comfort and ease of use of bonuses, or maximum financial benefit. I would advise comparing different options and choosing what is closer to you. The main thing is not to leave miles idle, they really do lose their value over time.
